According to AAC, drone use is allowed in Cape Verde, subject to AAC regulations.No AAC authorization is required if you meet the following conditions: Flying outside restricted areas. You fly no more than 120 meters (400 feet) above the ground.The drone operator is on-site (within 100 meters) and directly controls the unmanned aircraft.You are flying under normal visibility conditions.Additional Regulations:The operator is accountable for the drone’s safe operation, including keeping a safe distance from other aircraft and properties. Drone operations are prohibited within 2,000 meters of any aerodrome or landing site and along crewed aircraft’s flight paths. Drone operations above 120 meters (393 feet AGL) require the Civil Aviation Agency’s written authorization (AAC). Give priority to crewed aircraft’s passage; manned aircraft always have the right-of-way. The operator must always maintain visual contact with the drone and turn on the navigation lights. Must adhere to the manufacturer’s maintenance protocols. The operator oversees each drone operation. You must apply if you require authorization from AAC for the drone operation. To do so, download and complete the form (aeronautical easement form). It must be received at AAC at least ten working days in advance of the start of the operation.
